This 6-week transformation programme comprises:

Weekly Live Classes
Each week, join a 1-hour live online session that includes a 30-minute Pilates class plus a deep dive into gardening-specific exercises, addressing common areas of strain like lifting, kneeling, and digging.

'Quick Fix Series’ Videos
Access a library of short videos (5-10 minutes each) focusing on strengthening key muscle groups for common garden tasks, including leg & arm strength, balance work, and back mobility.

Q&A

Each live class offers a dedicated time for questions and technique checks, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

Lifetime Access
Enjoy unlimited playback of all sessions and lifetime access to course materials for ongoing learning.

    The beauty of this programme is that because it is delivered online, you can do it from the convenience and comfort of your own home.  You can access all content whenever it suits you, without the hassle of travelling to a class.  It's also a great use of time to prepare you for gardening when it’s raining outside!

  • What if I can’t attend a live class?

    All live classes are recorded, allowing you to catch up or watch again whenever is convenient. You’ll have lifetime access to all recordings and materials.

  • Do I need any previous Pilates experience?

    No prior experience is necessary! This programme is suitable for all fitness levels, with guidance tailored to your abilities.

  • Is attending the weekly class enough to see results?

    The weekly class will definitely set you on the path to pain-free gardening, but the most significant changes will come from regularly practising the techniques you learn. This programme equips you with the tools to garden pain-free, and by integrating these practices into your routine, you’ll build the strength, mobility, and resilience that will make a lasting difference.

  • What equipment do I need?

    You’ll need a mat, a chair, and a cushion. A stretchy band and a small Pilates ball will also be used, which you can purchase when you sign up.

Hi there, I'm Ali


I began my love affair with gardening in earnest about 3 years ago when my husband, John, and I moved to Wells. We took on a house which needed a lot of work in the garden which was overgrown and unloved.


I noticed early on how challenging gardening was for poor John. He had a history of back pain and really struggled with the demands our garden has placed on him physically. Having finally started doing a weekly Pilates recording (after years of nagging!) his body is SO much more resilient and the back pain has disappeared.


As a Pilates teacher, l've lost count of the number of people who have sought me out because they have injured themselves gardening. This, coupled with John's experience, made me realise how many people out there need help strengthening their bodies so they can confidently tackle the challenges that gardening brings.
