Regardless of age, gender, body type, flexibility or physical ability, I create sessions around what your body needs and what feels good. My aim is to build your confidence and help you celebrate what you can do rather than lament your limits.
Pilates is a brilliant form of exercise to manage back, joint and muscle pain. The sessions gradually improve tone, posture and flexibility and can also help to effectively manage stress.
Pilates can aid recovery after an injury and can also help to manage any number of physical conditions to build your confidence and regain strength.
In simple terms, Pilates is a series of exercises that aim to help improve strength, flexibility and posture. The focus is on strengthening your core muscles (primarily your abdominal and back muscles) but actually every part of your body will benefit from regular Pilates sessions. Not only can it help physically but it can also be a great stress-reliever.
I first became interested in Pilates when my dad was advised to take it up to help him manage persistent back pain. I saw the tremendous benefits he gained from practicing Pilates, not only in terms of pain management, but in his whole wellbeing….
In addition to private 1 to 1 lessons, I also teach a weekly schedule of mat classes. My aim is to create a fun, friendly and welcoming environment in which you can build your strength and flexibility in a group setting.
